This is my submission the 2013 Puffin Awards for which I had to redesign the cover for The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. I wanted to cover still to have a traditional feel to it, but also add a new more modern twist. The idea is based arounf friendly welcoming colours and hand drawn images, with the theme that shows the rat and mole returning from one of their adventures at the end of the day. Them traveling from the back of the book to the front to reenter symbolizes this journey, as well as shows that the book is not only filled with one but many suprises and adventures.
